Jesus in the Small Stuff

  Hi friends! Hope you are enjoying this hot weather we are having here in MD..but we should all be thankful!! We asked for it! (-: I have been reading Matthew 10 over and over and have been so encouraged by it lately! One verse specifically that I wanted to share with you all is Matthew 10:42 “This is a large work I have called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won't lose out on a thing." How many times have you thought so "Big" that you missed out on all the small things in life??? I have  many times! God was telling me otherwise as he does over and over in his word...it's in the small stuff! Think about Jesus ministry for a moment all that he did while on earth...feed the poor...healed the sick...encouraged the broken-hearted... helped his dad with the carpentry work..spoke a kind word to those who needed it...only a few to mention..He also did "Big" things too, but if he did not do all these small things what legacy would we have? What would we read in the word or remember about Jesus?" The Bible is full of small things that people did, that made a "Big" difference! It has made me stop and look at my life and remember that "it is not about me".."it is not about being noticed"..."it is not about being rich." It is all about being more like Jesus...so be like Jesus in the small things today! Love you all! Look forward to spending eternity with you!
