Hey guys! Raise your hand if you have ever thought something you should not have!??? Well, we all have if we are honest... it could be a lie, gossip, hatred towards another, a lustful thought and list goes on and on. The devil has many choices! I was reminded of this verse today... "Keep vigilant watch over your heart. That's where life starts!" (Proverbs 4:23) Webster defines vigilant as keeping a watchful eye out for danger... or carefully observant or attentive... That is something else... how many times do we keep a watchful eye out on our hearts for danger? That could mean a lot of things! Maybe being careful as to what we allow in our hearts... music... movies.. etc. or even what we believe... LIke I said before, the devil has many choices! He can think of almost anything to whisper into your ear. Do you believe everything that comes into your head? I wouldn't! But so often times we do... I know yesterday I thought something and I just went through the day not taking captive the thought... bad idea! One small...small seed of a thought turns into a forest fire if we let it! 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ." Hmmm... what a challenge! To take every thought that pops up in our head and say is this in line with the truth of God? If not, where does it go? Throw it in the garbage...meaning throw it back into the enemies face saying this is not from God... therefore I will not believe this or think this... I have found that keeping scripture nearby is handy! It is our sword to fight off the enemy! So be encouraged today and know that you have been set free from these crazy thoughts! Only believe truth today...believe God's truth!
